While Raga Malkaus shows love in union and is represented by a young man seated on a lotus, adored by two women, his raginis are all lovelorn women. Ragini Gunakali is represented as a young lady standing on a chauki, holding a chauri (whisk) in one hand, and a napkin in the other, hailing the rising sun.
