Raga Sarang, the eldest son of Sri Raga, is the melody of noon. In this painting a young beautiful lady is churning milk. Her lover is holding a cup to receive the buttermilk. In the background a woman is giving water to a cow. It is a picture of the summer with the hot sun in the sky and glare on the horizon. Fine brush work in making ornaments decorating her ears, nose and forehead and a pearl necklace round her neck is commendable. The transparent stole of the lady and skirt of the man show the unique skill of the painter.
